Asset Preparation Guide

Our police trading card templates are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing you to personalize every detail—from colors and layout to icons, text, and images.

Once your order is confirmed, our team will reach out within 48 hours to gather the necessary details for crafting your cards.

Getting Your Assets Ready

To ensure a smooth design process, we recommend having the following assets prepared:

Images

Whether your images are snapped with a smartphone or taken using professional equipment, we can work with any photos you provide. The key is ensuring your subjects (people) are clearly visible. Our team will handle any necessary enhancements to optimize the final product.

Image Tips:

  • Simple backgrounds: A single-color backdrop makes it easier for us to remove or adjust backgrounds as needed.
  • High resolution: On smartphones, ensure camera settings are set to the highest quality. If using a professional camera, opt for RAW or CR3 formats to capture finer details for optimal results.
  • Consistent editing: If you're editing photos yourself, maintain a cohesive color scheme to ensure the images flow well together, especially when creating a set of cards (a deck for the entire police department)
  • Good lighting: Proper lighting greatly improves image quality, which simplifies the editing process and produces better prints.
  • Note: There’s no need to take new pictures; we can work with existing images as long as the originals are provided.

What to Avoid:

  • Dim lighting: Dark images can lead to poor print quality.
  • Website and social media images: These are typically compressed, resulting in lower resolution when printed.
  • WhatsApp images: Similar to social media, images shared through WhatsApp are compressed, reducing their quality for printing.
  • Low-resolution files: These may appear pixelated in the final print.

Once your images are ready, we'll provide a Google Drive folder for you to upload them, or you can email them directly to us.

Text

While the visuals on your trading card are the focal point, the text adds important context. We recommend keeping text minimal and concise to enhance the card's visual appeal and readability.

To organize text for multiple cards or variations, using a spreadsheet can streamline the process. You can create your own or wait for a template from our team.

Examples of Text You Might Include:

  • Name
  • Contact details
  • Product or event descriptions
  • Features

Colors

While we offer standard colors for our templates, we’re happy to match your department's colors for a more personalized touch. If you'd like to use custom colors, simply provide specific color instructions. Please note that printed colors may differ slightly from what you see on screen, but we will share previews to ensure the final design aligns with your expectations.

Layout

We offer minor layout adjustments, such as changing text orientation, removing elements, or cropping images. For more significant changes or custom layouts, we can provide additional design services for an extra fee.

Summary

Each of our police trading card templates is fully customizable, allowing you to bring your ideas to life. After placing your order, you can begin preparing your images, text, colors, and layout instructions.
